Growing more sustainable coffee in India

India, Karnataka - The Lavazza Foundation is improving the competitiveness of the coffee region by directly supporting around 1,000 small-scale coffee farmers and their families. Local farmers' organisations received UTZ certification (now part of the Rainforest Alliance) and were supported in providing services to members and promoting women's participation.

A unique premium blend of refined Indian coffees, entirely produced and manufactured in India. Washed Arabica comes together with single-estate washed Robusta and the Indian coffee speciality Monsooned Malabar, known for its smooth and mellow characteristics. This creates a luscious creamy espresso with a rich and velvety body with notes of cocoa and spices, hints of liquorice and a wine-like finish. The coffee is roasted slowly, delicately and gently thanks to the traditional drum system that preserves the aromas and ensures a long-lasting flavour.
