Coffee Defenders: From Coca to Coffee

Coffee Defenders: a path from coca to coffee is a documentary film directed by Oscar Ruiz Navia and promoted by Lavazza. It tells the story of the Meta Colombia region, full of coca plantations, where coffee has become the symbol of change in the country. The coffee growing in Meta is tangible evidence of change after years of conflict between the Colombian government and the FARC. A proof that deserves protection. Lavazza transforms coca plants grown in Colombia into coffee plants. Find out how on Amazon Prime Video.

    Meet Johana

Johana, the protagonist of Lavazza's film, is a young Colombian woman who lost everything during the armed conflict with the FARC guerrillas, but managed to regain control of her own life and that of her six children. Journalist Alexandra Roca helps Johana tell her story.
